Huntingdale is a private members course located in the middle of the world famous Melbourne Sandbelt. It was the host of the Australian Masters for 30 years and has hosted the world's best golfers.
Huntingdale is a golf course characterised by long, generally straight holes and large and generally flat putting surfaces. The course is a par 72 made up of four par 3's, fourteen par 4's and four par 5 holes. The magnificent fairway conditioning is one feature of Huntingdale and in many cases the fairways are pure couch, providing an ideal surface from which to hit a shot.
Huntingdale is a generally flat, parkland style golf course with 16 holes playing North / South in orientation and two holes (5th and 15th) playing East / West. What this means is that the weather conditions (from a wind point of view) tend to impact the golf holes in a similar way. In other words with a Northerly breeze a number of holes will be playing downwind and the balance will be playing into the breeze. For this reason it is important to try and make your score on the downwind holes as hitting into the wind adds difficulty and length to many of the holes.
Huntingdale is a top quality golf course and playing its famous holes is your chance to follow in the footsteps of world renowned players including Tiger Woods and Greg Norman.
